See You In Spring!

This winter we were able to re-group and focus on the objectives for the upcoming year. In 2017, we will:
  • Address the needs of our bed and breakfast guests by providing packages, services and products that make their stay more convenient and enjoyable.
  • Continue to deliver programming to facilitate meaningful community connections, promote well-being and connect with creativity and nature.
  • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships.
After a few months of hibernation, The Hive Centre  will re-open during the March Break for Bear Standing Tall's Indigenous Cultural Sensitivity Training - a 4-Day Retreat. We have some other engaging events and activities coming your way including a free potuck Community Night on March 24th. Please join us!
The Hive's Services and Offerings

As a guest of The Hive Bee & Bee, we want to make your stay as enjoyable and convenient as possible.

Need some groceries or local organic meat to cook on the BBQ? We can stock it. Do you want a picnic lunch in the forest? We can prepare it. If you are with a group, we can schedule meditation, yoga or arrange to have massage therapists and other practitioners on-site. Need catering? We can help. Interested in a tour of the historical church... it's possible!

Let us know your needs and wishes and we will do our best to accommodate you. Contact us!

Meet our Honoured Guest, Bear Standing Tall. Affectionately known as “Rocky”, Bear Standing Tall will perform an authentic indigenous drum song to honour the birth of spring and set good intentions for the coming season.

Attendees will have a couple of minutes to share a performance or information on a topic of interest, personal practice or business. Register for this free event.

Partnership with Bear Standing Tall & Associates
The Hive Centre has always supported awareness and understanding of Indigenous knowledge and practices.

As Canada celebrates its 150th anniversary, it is crucial to address the impact of colonialism and to advance the Calls to Action that were put forth by the Government's Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.

Bear Standing Tall & Associates (BSTA), 1COMMUNITY1 and The Hive have partnered to bring awareness to and deliver Indigenous Training and Education Programs in Ontario that fulfill accreditation standards and requirements in regards to cultural relevance, cultural competence and cultural safety.

Bear Standing Tall & Associates creates a bridge between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Nations.

BSTA Accredited Programs will be offered at various dates at The Hive and are accessible through Diversity and Personal Development Funds when available. Speak with your employer.
