Winter Warmth at The Hive

We have had a steady stream of guests at The Hive Bee & Bee this winter.... Groups of friends and families, skiers, winter-lovers and guests from abroad have joined us.

After a long day of work or fun, they all agree, it's a good feeling to rest their head in a place that feels like home.

This season, we are thrilled to welcome Bear Standing Tall (Jason Rocky Carter) who will be offering a fascinating Hand Drum Making Retreat later this month and a 4-Day Indigenous Awareness Training Retreat during the March Break - perfect for educators. See you soon!

Hand Drum Making Retreat - 2-Day

You are invited to participate in a 2-Day Sacred Hand Drum Making Retreat.

Drumming is known to have therapeutic value, providing emotional and physical benefits that are stimulated by the rhythm of the drum.

In Indigenous culture, the drum is a medicine used as the heartbeat of Mother Earth. It is a tool for bringing out someone’s voice or songs and can be used as one beat with all the drums of the world for bringing out creative energy.

Join Bear Standing Tall for a Hand Drum Making Retreat that you do not want to miss! Take home a 14 inch deerskin drum made by you! Spaces are limited.

Indigenous Awareness Training Retreat - 4-Day
Bear Standing Tall's Indigenous Awareness Training is an Accredited Medicine Wheel Facilitator Training Program - Level I.

The 4-Day Retreat provides participants with an introduction to Indigenous worldviews, philosophies and identities. Participants will explore aspects of the Medicine Wheel related to interconnectedness, self-discovery and personal growth.

Educators, Counsellors, Public Servants, Health and Social Workers are doing their part in the healing and reconciliation process through Indigenous education. Join a growing number of people who are learning how Indigenous Awareness Training can enhance and heal their lives and the lives of others. Reserve now.

Watch Bear Standing Tall tell the story that inspired his lifelong work of offering Indigenized education.
