In February 2020, Eleanor Cook of Central Counties Tourism contacted us about hosting a group from Toronto Bloggers Collective. We were thrilled that The Hive Centre was the finale to a 2-day experience in Durham Region.
Transported by limousines, eleven writers and artists went ice fishing with Scugog Ice Adventures, visited local breweries (Falcon Brewing Company, All or Nothing Brewhouse, Brock St. Brewing Company) and enjoyed a great meal at Marwan’s Global Bistro.
They arrived late Wednesday evening for an epic bonifre (grateful for Follow Summer‘s fireside photos included in this video). The next day we did all of the things that have come to exemplify The Hive experience — living, learning, exploring, creating and connecting with ourselves, each other and nature.
Together we shared a nutritious delicious vegan meal provided by Trish of Copper Branch and delectable vegan desserts (donuts and cheesecake) by Tijana of Twenty 1 Desserts. Yummy!
Grateful for the new friendships and overwhelmed by the support from Central Counties Tourism, York Durham Headwaters & Durham Tourism — big thanks to those who worked hard to make it happen — Eleanor Cook, Kristyn Chambers, Brandon Pickard, Susan Boyle…
